DBCCI President met newly elected FBCCI President Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin
The President of Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce
& Industry (DBCCI) Mr. Md. Anwar Shawkat Afser along with the Board
of Directors met the President of FBCCI Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin today on
Sunday, the 6th June 2021 in Dhaka. The DBCCI President proposed a tax
amendment of the national budget on Dredger imports. He suggested
reducing tax on dredger machine imports from the Netherlands. As an
important investor the Netherlands contribute to Bangladesh in many
fields including Delta Plan, therefore Bangladesh may ease of Import and
Export between the two brotherly countries. Mr. Md. Anwar Shawkat Afser
also assured their best support to the FBCCI president and the
development of the country. He also expressed that DBCCI may contribute
as a General Member of FBCCI. Mr. Md. Shahid Alam, Director, DBCCI
proposes to amend the tax in the national budget for yarn imports to a
flat rate of 3% so that Bangladesh competes with the
neighbouring countries. From the DBCCI Board, Mr. Jakaria Shahid, Vice
President, Mr. Md. Shahjahan Shaju, Vice President, Mr. Md. Shakawat
Hossain Mamun, Secretary General, Mr. Noafel Bin Reza, Director Finance,
Mr. Md. Nazmul Haque, Mr. Mir Muhammad Nasir, Director, Mr. Md. Shahid
Alam, Director, Mr. Md. Sayem Faroky, Director were present in the
meeting.
